A pretty day gone down the drain in moments
The mood, once high, is playing hide and seek
The heavy fist of sudden disappointment
Has settled in my stomach and it's coming down my cheeks

The sentiment I'm sure was meant to injure
The way your eyebrows came to life on cue
I took the stage direction, it's become my sole obsession
And now all I know is nauseating truth

It's scrounging for its surety
Made up of insecurity
